US to lift travel restrictions for fully vaccinated visitors next month, White House announces

The US will open up its borders to visitors from other countries next month, provided they are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus - the White House has confirmed. The new measures, which come into force on 8 November, will apply to both land travel and international air travel. Assistant press secretary Kevin Munoz said on Twitter that the government's policy, which is supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is "guided by public health, stringent, and consistent".
