New York City officials throw street vendor's fresh food into rubbish truck
New York City workers have prompted fury after being filmed throwing pallet after pallet of fresh food into a garbage truck over allegations that the stall owner didn’t have the proper paperwork.
In the above video, you can see people watching on as the fresh food is disposed of by the sanitation staff of New York.
The Department of Sanitation in the city said the food was abandoned and needed to be disposed of for safety reasons. Diana Hernandez Cruz, whose produce it was, has been selling food at the side of the street in the Bronx for years.
