England fans get into the spirit at London train stations ahead of Euro 2020 final
Excited England fans gathered in central London ahead of the Euro 2020 final against Italy, getting into the spirit amid high hopes that Gareth Southgate’s side could bring home England’s first major football trophy since 1966.
A red-and-white clad crowd can be seen outside a pub at Liverpool Street station, waving England flags, jumping up and down and animatedly belting out Gala’s Freed from Desire.
But it was not to be England’s turn at glory, after all. Italy emerged victorious after a nerve-shattering penalty shoot-out at Wembley.
