Follow live coverage as Wolverhampton Wanderers face Leeds United today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Liverpool look to fend off competition from Arsenal, Manchester City and more.

The race for the Champions League places should also be a compelling battle, with a fifth place possible for English teams. Manchester United’s latest rebuild under Ruben Amorim sets expectations high once more after a dismal season last time out.

Meanwhile, it’s Burnley, Leeds United and Sunderland who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

Suffering a fifth straight defeat, Wolves stay pointless and remain rooted to the foot of the Premier League table, tamely losing 3-1 at home to Leeds United. An early strike by Krejci caused optimism to rise at a nervy Molineux, but Leeds roared back with three goals late in the first half. The visitors scored with all of their shots on target, as Calvert-Lewin headed home at the back post, before Stach fired in a brilliant free-kick and Okafor drilled past Sa to seize complete control. Vitor Pereira opted for major surgery at half-time, making a triple change, but that barely caused a ripple, as Wolves wandered towards the final whistle despite bossing the ball and posting an xG of 1.61 to Leeds' 0.49. Lacking any cohesion up front, they were ultimately well beaten by a clinical away side that move onto six points. Next time out, Wolves will host Everton in the EFL Cup, while Leeds have a week on the training ground before meeting Bournemouth. That's all from Wolverhampton today, so thank you for joining us and goodbye!

Surely, Leeds are set for maximum points, as they'll have just four more minutes to hold out. Home fans are already flooding out of Molineux, having seen enough.

Bueno bursts past Aaronson on the left wing, then delivers another dangerous ball that Leeds can only clear behind for a corner. From the set-piece, Darlow punches an inswinging delivery away.

Bueno's low cross is blocked by Justin, before Wolves build again. With little else on, Agbadou lets fly from nearly 25 yards out, but his deflected shot loops safely towards the waiting Darlow.

Needing two late goals to create an improbable turnaround, Wolves simply can't find a spark. They're being met by stern Leeds resistance, but they've also lacked any cohesion in and around the box.
