The full-time whistle sounds, as Manchester City return to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over high-flying Bournemouth at the Etihad! Already leading 2-1 at the break courtesy of Haaland's first-half double, City had to weather a storm of Bournemouth pressure early in the second half, as the visitors produced 0.72 xG with efforts from Semenyo, Kroupi and Brooks. Further chances followed for Haaland, Foden, Marmoush and Reijnders as Pep Guardiola's side pushed the envelope, but no more goals came and a 3-1 advantage proved more than enough for Man City to climb from eighth to second in the Premier League table. Bournemouth drop down to fourth as a result of their first defeat since the opening day, but Andoni Iraola's side did show glimpses of exactly why they've been one of the form teams in the first 10 games of the new season.
