Guehi was dragged down inside the box during a corner, and Mateta completed his hat-trick from the spot, sending Petrovic the wrong way and rolling his shot into the left corner to make it even again at 3-3. There was still time for another twist, when Mateta had an opportunity in the 99th minute to win the game for Palace, but sent his shot agonisingly over the bar. It ended 3-3 in the end, with Palace creating a whopping 4.25 xG, eclipsing Bournemouth’s 2.03 xG. That was a game for the ages, and everyone involved will need a lie down now!
