The full-time whistle blows at Turf Moor as Chelsea defeat Burnley 2-0 to move three points behind league leaders Arsenal. The Blues who were far from their best today got the job done and opened the scoring in the first half thanks to Pedro Neto’s precise header at the back post after a fantastic delivery from Jamie Gittens. Scott Parker’s Clarets offered little in the second half, and the Blues sealed all three points late on after Marc Guiu overpowered Axel Tuanzebe, and squared the ball to Enzo Fernandez who blasted his effort past two Burnley defenders and into the back of the net. Enzo Maresca’s outfit have now won five of their last six Premier League games (losing one), winning three successive league matches to nil for the first time since March 2022. The Blues will now face Barcelona and Arsenal in their next two games at home, while Burnley head to west London next weekend to face Brentford. Thanks for reading and take care!
