13 best hampers for luxury gifting this Christmas
From boozy bundles to selections of British cheese, give the gift of indulgence this Christmas

There’s nothing quite as exciting as opening a gorgeously presented hamper packed with delicious food and drink, no matter the occasion. So whether you’re sending one as a gift or picking one for yourself, I’ve rounded up the best options.
I’ve been reviewing hampers for three years (a difficult job, but someone’s got to), so I’ve come to understand what makes a good hamper (beautifully packaged, thoughtful inclusions, and a delicious range of produce) and, crucially, which ones aren’t worth your time.
For 2025, I’ve found small hampers ideal for a bit of me-time while binging Netflix, options to thrill your host if you’re heading for a Christmas party, and larger hampers packed with everything you need for a get-together, whether sharing with friends or the whole family.
Christmas is truly when things get extra special in the world of hampers: a wicker basket brimming with festive food and drink is something I’ll never tire of opening. So keep reading for my selection of this year’s best options.
Best Christmas hampers for 2025 are:

How I tested
Hampers are released throughout the year, and I test all the new launches and releases to find out which ones are worth investing in. When it comes to reviewing, I always consider the items included (I look for hampers with a nice selection of products), any additional extras, and broad appeal (I assess how I’d feel if each hamper were gifted to me and what kind of person would like to receive it). I also always think about the wow factor, which is a must.
1Chatsworth winter warmers gift box

- Best Christmas hamper overall
- Number of items 13
- Available Mid November, pre-order now
- Why we love it
- Variety of sweet and savoury snacks
- Great festive alcohol selection
- Lovely box and packaging
Chatsworth is a stately home in the Derbyshire countryside with 500 years of history. The team uses food and drink from local producers to create some of the best festive hampers on the market.
Think pigs in blankets flavoured salty umami nuts, traditional mulled wine, a caddy filled with tea and a Christmas cake that will go down very well on the dessert table. A sparkling durello spumante brut adds a jubilant touch to this hamper.
2DukesHill ruby celebration hamper

- Best Christmas hamper for variety
- Number of items 15
- Available Now
- Why we love it
- Delicious blanc de blancs
- Lots of sweet and savoury options
Cured ham specialists DukesHill has a range of Christmas hampers centred around its delicious hams. The ruby celebration hamper contains 1.2kg boneless York ham that’s salty and savoury, perfect for festive sandwiches or as the main course in a spread.
Other savoury bits include venison rillettes and a flavourful aged cheddar. The hamper includes plenty of sweet treats too, such as mince pies with a perfectly spiced mincemeat filling. The blanc de blancs wine was the sparkling star of the show for me: light bubbles and a lovely, smooth finish.
3Snowdonia Cheese Company cheese and port wicker hamper

- Festive and fruity port to pair

For the ultimate Christmas cheese board, Snowdonia Cheese Company’s hamper has its classic range of cheeses, preserved in colourful wax. But this hamper includes delicious cheese fondue bakes. Just pop into the oven, and the tangy stringy cheese can be dipped into with crackers, potatoes or crusty bread.
The mini chutneys are the perfect size for dolloping on cheese-topped crackers, the hot honey being a real standout. The vintage port – a 2019 vintage – is bursting with dark fruits and pairs delectably with the cheeses.
4Claridge's brook hamper
.png?quality=75&width=703&crop=3%3A2%2Csmart&trim=0%2C0%2C0%2C0&auto=webp)
- Best Christmas hamper with items to keep
- Number of items 10
- Available Pre-order now, delivery from November 3
- Why we love it
- Includes keepsake items like cookbook, mugs and champagne stop
For one of the chicest hampers on the list, look no further than luxury hotel Claridge’s. With a range of premium hampers, including the Brook hamper, which contains goodies highlighted with the Claridge’s green.
You have the option to include alcohol or not – naturally, I opted for the champagne, a bright and dry bottle of bubbles that paired surprisingly well with the soft fruit-studded pannetone smothered in strawberry jam. There are also keepsakes included – two mugs, a champagne stopper and the Claridge’s cookbook, so you’ll be living like a guest of the legendary hotel for years to come.
5Black Mountains Smokery food lovers gift box hamper
.png?quality=75&width=703&crop=3%3A2%2Csmart&trim=0%2C0%2C0%2C0&auto=webp)
- Best Smoked hamper
- Number of products Nine
- Available Now
- Why we love it
- Delicious smoked meat, fish and poultry
- Tasty snacks
For a charcuterie board with a twist, this Black Mountains Smokery hamper was a real crowd-pleaser during testing. Made with wood shavings that are a by-product of a local furniture maker in Wales, the meat, fish and cheese all have a delicious smoked flavour.
Highlights include a smoked duck breast that was moist and deliciously different. A smoked duck breast was similarly tender, then cured pork included fennel salami, which was the favourite from the whole box, and honey-cured ham. The smoked cheese paired great with the lightly spiced apple cider jelly (of course, crusty bread was needed). This will be a hit at any time of year, but an autumnal charcuterie board laid with these will be the perfect seasonal treat.

- Best Local farm shop hamper

- Why we love it
- Variety of sweet and savoury foods
- Local Kent produce
Macknade is a farm shop nestled at the edge of the Kentish town of Faversham that stocks lots of Kent producers on its shelves, and also in its hampers.
There is a great variety in this hamper from the decadent chocolate and pistachio panettone (pro tip: use the pistachio cream that’s also included to spread on top) to pigs in blankets, flavoured nuts and a lemony salmon pâté that works spread on crackers or your morning toast.
For a Christmassy concoction, try mixing a glass of champagne with a dash of cherry wine made from Kent cherries.
7The Dorchester festive essentials hamper

- Best For hotel luxury at home
- Number of items 13

Another luxury hotel with excellent hampers this year is The Dorchester. The Mayfair hotel overlooks Hyde Park and is known for its opulence and art deco interiors. You can now enjoy a piece of The Dorchester at home with its festive hamper – and it’s absolutely packed with indulgent Christmas treasures.
From traditional essentials like a Christmas pudding in a real earthenware pudding basin and a classic fruity Christmas cake in a tin, to Dorchester blend tea and coffee, and even a chocolate facade of the hotel, your wintertime will be filled with nibbles and tipples for a long time. The rioja red wine has a complex palate and warming dark fruit notes, and the fresh dry sauvignon blanc pairs nicely with the salty pistachios.
8Fortnum & Mason the Piccadilly hamper

- Best For tea lovers
- Number of items 7
- Available Now
- Why we love it
- Classic Fortnums packaging
- Tasty sweet treats
The most elegant Christmas tea break comes courtesy of Fortnum & Mason with the Piccadilly hamper. The centre is a festive house biscuit tin that plays an adorable rendition of Handel’s Water Music melody.
The biscuits are tasty with a tangy stem ginger and my favourite, the lemon curd biscuit. More biscuits (pistachio and clotted cream) and a box of chocolates go perfectly with F&M’s signature tea or coffee. I challenge you not to finish it all in one afternoon, though.
9The Newt classics hamper

- Best Cider hamper
- Number of items 10
- Available Now
- Why we love it
- A range of tasty ciders
- Moreish fruity red wine
- Excellent snacks
The Newt is a luxury hotel nestled in the Somerset countryside with rolling orchards, woodlands and farmyards. They make their own cider and other food and drink products which comprise this enticing hamper.
Lovely package design aside, the ciders were really the star of this hamper. There’s even one that passes for a delicious dry sparkling wine. The handmade treats such as zesty lemon infused olives, super cheese-y cheese straws and smooth coffee chocolate are all top notch.
10Imp & Maker luxury charcuterie and wine hamper

- Best Best charcuterie Christmas hamper
- Number of items 14
- Available Now
- Why we love it
- Huge variety
- Excellent quality charcuterie
- Next day delivery
The ultimate hamper for hosting this Christmas, Imp & Maker’s charcuterie and wine hamper packs in 14 items spanning everything from wine to condiments. Highlights include the full-bodied bottle of merlot and trio of Extrem charcuteries (hand-cut shoulder, finely sliced salchichon and smoky chorizo), all of which pairs nicely with the red pepper tapanede, Bontazola Mauri gorgonzola and Lincolnshire vintage poacher. A ready-made board to impress guests, there’s also Perello olives, Torres’ famous black truffle crisps and even a bottle of balsamic vinegar to drizzle. The variety found inside offers excellent value for money, but it doesn’t come in a physical hamper (you have to pay an extra £49 for that), which lessens its gifting appeal. But if you’re having friends and family over this festive season, this elevated, luxury hamper saves you a trip to the supermarket.
11Brindisa cheese and charcuterie box

- Best Value charcuterie Christmas hamper
- Number of items 10
- Available Now

- Excellent quality charcuterie
- Lovely presentation
Brindisa – the Spanish restaurant chain – also has a lovely deli shop that sells gifts, hampers and more for foodies. This cheese and charcuterie hamper comes beautifully packaged in a printed box and contains 10 items – all for less than £90. Where hampers are concerned, this line-up offers stellar value for money. Inside, you’ll find a selection of the brand’s own charcuterie (iberico ham, salchichon slices, chorizo, salami and smoked beef slices) alongside cheeses including la retorta (a vegetarian sheep’s milk cheese), Manchego mature and blue cheese). It’s not a foodie hamper without some kind of Perello offering, and Brindisa includes a jar of gherkins. An easy way to be the host-with-the-most, or a thoughtful gift to another, the hamper combines great quality with accessible pricing.
12Cote at Home luxe French cheese and charcuterie box

- Best Best affordable Christmas hamper
- Number of items 12

- Why we love it
- Excellent value
- Everything you need for a cheese board

Cote at Home’s hamper is a delight for cheese and charcuterie lovers – and is the most affordable choice in our round-up. From the soft, creamy Pont-l’Évêque cheese and the delicious truffle brie and French cured ham, to the truffle pork and fresh blue Roquefort Miraval cheese, it’s an indulgent line-up for Christmas Day or festive hosting. For its price, you’re treated to excellent value for money with 12 items inside. As well as centerpieces like the cheeses and meats, accompaniments include crackers, confits (the fig and grape is a highlight), cornichons and olives. Once all the items are laid out and prepared on a board, the Cote at Home hamper is just as much a feast for the eyes.
13Bayley & Sage Christmas morning hamper

- Best Hamper for Christmas morning
- Number of items 4
- Available Now
Bayley & Sage’s hamper takes the hassle out of hosting this Christmas. Containing four items synonymous with Christmas brunch, you’ll find a citrusy and floral bottle of Gardet Brut champagne and Bayley & Sage’s signature salmon. The cured salmon is deliciously smoked with a silky finish (the portion size is excellent too at 200g). Completing the line-up, there are 16 beautifully fluffy blinis and Beillevaire cream cheese. Smooth and soft, the French cheese layers easily on the blinis but can later be used on bagels, in cheesecakes and even for sauces. The portion sizes in the hamper go a long way, whether entertaining the entire family or hosting a festive party with friends.
What is the best hamper?
The Chatsworth winter warmers gift box is full of a delicious selection of sweet and savoury snacks, as well as a bottle of bubbles and wine. It’s also beautifully packaged, making it a great gift this Christmas.
For something a little different, the Black Mountains Smokery food lovers gift box hamper is packed with delicious smoked meats and cheeses for a cosy charcuterie board evening.
Why you can trust IndyBest reviews
Samuel Mathewson is the audience editor for IndyBest, but he also has been testing and reviewing products for the section. When it comes to hampers, though, he’s been reviewing them for three years, so he knows what makes a hamper stand out (and, crucially, which ones fall short). He has a keen eye for detail and appreciates when a hamper has the wow factor at an affordable price.
