Police in Bonaire, a Dutch Caribbean island, are trying to locate a 47-year-old American woman who didn’t return to her Carnival Cruise ship after it docked there last week.
Carnival Cruise Line said that Jessica Collins disembarked the Carnival Horizon with all her belongings, leaving a cash gratuity and a thank you note for her stateroom attendant.
Collins later contacted a Carnival Care Team member, saying that she was safe and did not wish to be found or contacted again.
Surveillance images show Collins leaving the ship wearing a large grey backpack, a Hawaiian button-down shirt, and jean shorts.
Authorities in Bonaire are appealing for information regarding her whereabouts; people can call an anonymous tip line on 9310 or a local number, 715 8000.
