The "thoughtless nurses" who gossiped to one another over Sheila Hancock's head while indifferently flattening her breast into a scary machine were almost certainly radiographers ("Cancer research muddle ...", 2 June). As a registered general nurse I am tired of hearing any female who wears a uniform and works in a hospital described as a nurse.
