I COME from a country whose last king was assassinated over 80 years ago and have learnt that a variation of Marx's law on club membership applies. Anyone conceited enough to put themselves forward as a candidate to lead and represent an entire nation is unfit to do so. Have you had a look at other countries lately? At least monarchs have the redeeming feature of having no choice in the matter.
