Sir: I was intrigued today by Stephen Ward's description of the return home of Karyn Smith and Patricia Cahill from a Thai prison: 'Miss Cahill was driven away from Heathrow by men in suits . . .'. I wonder what he thinks they might otherwise have been wearing - kilts, white coats, police helmets?
