Sir: Brian R Moore (letter, 2 October) objects that Tony Blair "seems to use his religion to claim the moral high ground". Mr Blair's politics have very much relevance to his beliefs.
It has been said that the policies of the Labour Party have more to do with Methodism than Marxism. Christians are exhorted not to "hide their lights under a bushel" but to "shine before people, so they will see the good things you do and praise your Father in Heaven".
