Letter: Morality begins at home

Sir: Am I alone in noticing that the middle aged who speak out against moral decline and wring their hands about young people's lack of care for others have been responsible for bringing up this generation? Should they not have done something about it by now? A friend's resourceful, rugger-mad 18-year-old son is trying to raise funds and equipment to enable him to teach life skills to Zimbabwean children, unpaid, for a year. He has written widely to powerful people for help and gets polite refusals. The RFU - bless their woolly socks - would not even donate a few rugger balls.
