LETTER:Labour politicians' comprehensive history of selection

From Mr David Robinson

Sir: Harriet Harman had the choice of a variety of schools for her son. I must take issue with the perception that the school with 1per cent of pupils obtaining five good GCSEs is a failing school and that the grammar school with a 99 per cent pass rate is a successful one. Until we are able sensibly to measure value added, the reality will not be evident.

Yours sincerely,

David Robinson
