DES BROWNE (letter, 6 April) is mistaken. The term "Cool Britannia" does not originate from a trivial source like Newsweek, but from the late Vivian Stanshall, in the Bonzo Dog Band's immortal 1968 opus Gorilla ("dedicated to Kong, who must have been a great bloke").
