Sweden and the United States will be the joint top seeds at the 1997 Davis Cup World Group draw in London today. The Americans retain their status despite losing to the Czech Republic in this year's quarter-finals.

DAVIS CUP: World Group seeds: 1-2: Sweden, United States; 3-4: France, Germany; 5-6: Czech Republic, Italy; 7-8 Netherlands, Russia. Other nations in World Group: Australia, Brazil, India, Mexico, Romania, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland.
