KEVIN SCHWANTZ, the world champion, fractured his left hand after tumbling from his Suzuki towards the end of the yesterday's first practice for tomorrow's Dutch Grand Prix. The American, second in this year's championship behind Australia's Mick Doohan, may still take part in the race. Doohan took provisional pole yesterday with Schwantz fourth fastest.
