Police fired a warning shot during riots at a match near Frankfurt on Thursday night in the worst outbreak of football-related violence in Germany for years. More than 100 people, including 27 police officers, were injured as fans fought battles before, during and after a Third Division match between Kickers Offenbach and Waldhof Mannheim.
