Fiorentina's appeal against their exclusion from the Uefa Cup has been rejected. The Italian club were leading Grasshopper Zurich 2-1 at home in Salerno on 3 November when a firework was thrown on to the pitch, injuring an official. Swiss side Grasshopper will now meet French club Bordeaux in the third round.
