Tom O'Malley is standing down as chairman of the Scottish First Division champions Hibernian. Malcolm McPherson, a lifelong supporter, will succeed him as non-executive chairman at Easter Road.

Burton O'Brien, the midfielder who is to join Blackburn Rovers, has been named in the 22-man Scotland under-21 squad for the triangular tournament in Inverness at the end of the month.
