BO JACKSON will play for the Chicago White Sox this season after the club picked up their option on his contract. Jackson, who received an artificial hip last April after a career-threatening injury received playing American football, has undergone extensive rehabilitation since the operation. 'I have never doubted myself, my confidence has always been there,' he said. 'But I have never worked so hard in all my life.' The White Sox manager, Gene Lamont, said: 'He showed he can still play.'
