DIONICIO CERON, a 26-year-old policeman from Mexico who won all three of the marathons he contested last year, leads an elite men's field in this year's NutraSweet London Marathon on 17 April. In the women's race, Wang Junxia leads the Chinese entry trained by Ma Junren.

RICHARD NERURKAR and Andrew Pearson have withdrawn from Great Britain's team for the World Cross- Country Championships in Budapest on 26 March because of injury. Their replacements are John Nuttall and Darren Mead.
