THE San Diego Yacht Club has added a syndicate headed by Kevin Mahaney and John Marshall to their list of teams competing for the right to defend the America's Cup in 1995. Mahaney was an Olympic silver medallist last year, Marshall has participated in every America's Cup since 1974 as a crew member, and later as a design specialist.
