CARL HODDLE, the younger brother of the Chelsea manager, Glenn, has returned to Barnet eight weeks after being given a free transfer by the financially troubled Second Division club. The caretaker player-manager, Gary Phillips, has successfully recruited a 14-man squad for friendly matches at Hampton tomorrow and Lincoln on Tuesday.

DUNDEE UNITED have lost their assistant manager, Shaun O'Neill, after just two days. The former Chesterfield full- back, appointed by manager Ivan Golac last week, has left apparently due to a disagreement about terms.
