A Tote Superbet inviting punters to select the first six finishers in the correct order is planned for next year. The launch depends on more High Street bookmakers accepting the bet, which would be placed through the Tote Direct terminals already installed in Coral offices.

Brian McDonnell, the Tote's chief executive, said yesterday the bet would operate in big handicaps on Saturdays.
