MUJAAZAFAH: outpaced in the early stages of a Newbury juvenile maiden on Saturday in which he was eased to 11-1. It was only in the seventh and final furlong that he began to fly through the 18-runner field to reach second place. A son of Mr Prospector who holds an entry for the Royal Lodge Stakes, he should, like many of his stable- mates, improve greatly for this first outing. (J Gosden).

WEAVER BIRD: unfancied on her debut, this daughter of Master Willie rallied to finish less than two lengths third to Exclusively Yours in a maiden auction race for two-year-olds at Salisbury on Thursday. (H Candy).
