Venues to host 2012 rehearsals

More than 40 warm-up events for next year's Olympics will be held across the venues, including World Cup cycling and diving.

The London organisers yesterday released a diverse list that will see beach volleyball in London's Horse Guards Parade and marathon swimming in the Serpentine this summer, but the first event at the Olympic Stadium will not be until May when it will host the British Universities championships. The aquatics centre is scheduled to hold its first event in February.
