NIGEL MANSELL sought sanctuary on a golf course 'somewhere in Britain' yesterday as the negotiations over his proposed return to Formula One appeared bunkered, writes Derick Allsop.
With Williams already the reluctant players, their engine partners, Renault, and the sport's impressario, Bernie Ecclestone, have been orchestrating attempts to secure Mansell's services, initially for the French Grand Prix, on 3 July. It is understood talks have reached deadlock over financial terms.
