Tiger Woods yesterday revealed he has "no plans" to appoint another coach after Hank Haney dumped him two weeks ago. The world No 1, who tees it up at the Memorial in Ohio today, has been using video technology to try to repair his malfunctioning swing.

Woods withdrew from his last tournament, the Players at Sawgrass in Florida last month, complaining of a neck injury. "It feels pretty good now," he said. "It's still not where I want it to be. It's a little sore."

With the US Open at Pebble Beach just a fortnight away, he expressed his hopes for his form to turn around after his fourth place at the Masters was followed by a missed cut in Charlotte and then the withdrawal at Sawgrass.

"It's going to take a little time, but hopefully that time will be short," said Woods. "I've just got to be more patient with myself."
