Diving: Funding cuts hit Pete Waterfield

Pete Waterfield, who partnered Tom Daley to fourth in the synchro platform diving at the London Olympics, is furious after having his funding cut.

Waterfield is set to walk away from a two-decade long career after learning that British Swimming would no longer support him financially. The decision could leave Daley without a platform partner ahead of this year's World Championships.

Waterfield had been promised funding until the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, but said: "It's pointless... The only way I can carry on diving is if I find funding from another source. If I don't find another source of funding, me, my wife and kids will be homeless."
