Zinedine Zidane, the former France international and World Cup winner, now director of football at Real Madrid, believes Tottenham will not be able to keep Gareth Bale when Europe's top clubs come knocking this summer.

Bale who was crowned PFA Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year on Sunday, dismissed reports that he would move – with Real among the suitors – as "speculation".

But Zidane said: "Tottenham could command £40m, £50m, maybe even £60m for him. It is a lot of money – but there are maybe three or four teams in the world that can pay that sort of transfer fee and it won't put them off."
