Manchester City returned to the top of the Premier League after grinding out a 1-0 win against Tottenham.

The visitors took an early lead through Riyad Mahrez and came close to doubling their lead through Sergio Aguero and David Silva.

Spurs, meanwhile, enjoyed chances via Erik Lamela and Harry Kane but were ultimately unable to find an equaliser.
