Norwich blow as James Vaughan faces lengthy lay-off
Norwich manager Paul Lambert has confirmed striker James Vaughan will be out for several months with a knee injury.
The 23-year-old hobbled off after coming on as a second-half substitute during the Canaries' 2-1 defeat of Sunderland on Monday night.
Tests were carried out on Vaughan, who moved to Carrow Road from Everton in the summer, which showed the forward would be ruled out.
Lambert confirmed Vaughan would be sidelined until early 2012.
Speaking to a news conference ahead of tomorrow's Barclays Premier League trip to Old Trafford, the Norwich manager said: "He is going to be out for a considerable time - it is his meniscus.
"It is a blow because he has been looking really good and is going to be out for three or four months.
"He has had really bad luck with injuries."
