Next Liverpool manager: Carlo Ancelotti and Jurgen Klopp among favourites to succeed Brendan Rodgers

The future of Brendan Rodgers as Liverpool manager continues to look uncertain.

The Anfield boss is due to meet senior personnel this week to review a season that saw the club finish sixth in the table, fail to escape the Champions League group phase and go out of the FA Cup at the semi-final stage against Aston Villa.

That it all ended with a 6-1 defeat to Stoke City on the final day of the season only made Rodgers' position more precarious.

Liverpool have made no suggestion that Rodgers will be replaced, however that hasn't stopped alternative managers being linked with the club.
