Manchester United 2 Crystal Palace 0 player ratings: Who was the star in easy win
Manchester United strolled to an easy victory at Old Trafford

Manchester United strolled to an easy victory after a terrible performance by Crystal Palace at a half-empty Old Trafford.
Louis van Gaal's team won 2-0 but barely had to get out of second gear with Alan Pardew's team seemingly uninterested in offering any kind of fight.
It started badly for the visitors when captain Damien Delaney inexplicably turned a Matteo Darmian cross into his own net despite beign under no pressure from a United player.
Palace barely even attempted to get back into the game, failing to even have a shot on target.
In fact, the only reason the score stayed at 1-0 was because goalkeeper Julian Speroni, playing his first game of the season, bothered to show up.
The second half followed the same pattern with Manchester United dominating possession and chances.
When Darmian lashed home a half-volley 10 minutes into the second-half, the game was over.
