Jurgen Klopp’s agent weighs in on speculation over his Liverpool future

Jurgen Klopp has no intention of leaving Liverpool before the end of his contract, his agent Marc Kosicke has confirmed.

The German, who joined the Reds in 2015, has three years left on his current deal with the club. And while the team have suffered a major drop in form of late, Kosicke has revealed that Klopp remains dedicated to the Premier League champions.

“He’s not finished with his work in Liverpool,” Klopp’s agent told Sport1. “There is no back door open because Jurgen still has a three-year contract with the Reds. He made this very clear so that there would be no room for speculation.”

Liverpool have lost their last six league games at Anfield, a run which comes after a 68-match unbeaten run at home. The dip means the Reds have dropped off dramatically in their race for the top four at the end of the season. But they did manage to close the gap to the Champions League places with a 1-0 win away at Wolves on Monday night.

The result leaves Liverpool five points behind Chelsea with nine games remaining.

Meanwhile, Klopp last week dismissed the chances of him succeeding Germany national team coach Joachim Low after the European Championships.

When asked about the upcoming vacancy last week, Klopp categorically shut down the notion, saying: “No, I will not be available as a potential coach of the German national team in the summer or after the summer. I have three years left at Liverpool. It’s a simple situation; you sign a contract and you try to stick to that.”
