Liverpool aiming to close gap to top four
Steven Gerrard starts Liverpool's first game of 2015 having been rested for their previous game, the 4-1 win over Swansea.
The captain takes his place in midfield for the visit of the Premier League's bottom club Leicester City to Anfield.
Lallana, who scored twice in the win on Monday night retains his place whilst Raheem Sterling continues up front.
Brad Jones continues to be sidelined meaning Simon Mignolet remains in goal.
The only other change from the win over Swansea is Kolo Toure coming in for Martin Skrtel who is suspended.
Leicester left-back Paul Konchesky is banned while Andy King is missing with a thigh injury.
Striker Jamie Vardy goes straight back into the starting line-up having missed Leicester's victory away against Hull in their last outing.
Nigel Pearson also names Tom Lawrence on the bench after his loan spell at Rotherham.
