Glenn Hoddle has apologised for the comments he made on Sky's Monday night broadcast of Fulham against Chelsea.

Hoddle said: "I can only apologise to those who took offence. There's no excuse."

Hoddle had said on air that Fernando Torres's poor ball control was similar to "Chinese player Knee Shin Toe".
