Arsenal repay Bolton fans as weather causes more chaos

Arsenal will pay any travel costs incurred by Bolton supporters who journeyed to London for Wednesday night's postponed Premier League fixture. The Emirates pitch was playable but the game was called off mid-afternoon as a result of police worries over the safety of fans getting to and from the stadium and the club have decided to offer recompense as a "gesture".
As of last night, tomorrow's Premier League fixture list remains intact, but similar fears to Wednesday surround a number of the matches. Sunderland will meet with police, ambulance and fire services representatives today to determine if their game with Bolton can go ahead. There are also fears for Burnley v Stoke.
Birmingham City say they are "extremely confident" that tomorrow evening's meeting with Manchester United will take place. United have rearranged their Premier League game with Hull, postponed due to the rearrangement of the Carling Cup semi-final, for Saturday 23 January.
