Premier League and Championship clubs spent £99m on changing managers last season, claim the League Managers' Association.

That amount is made up of compensation, legal fees and double contracts – when a manager is paid off but his replacement is also appointed. Agents' fees and the sacking of backroom staff were not included.

"We want to move away from managers being judged on their last three results," the LMA's Richard Bevan told the BBC.
