Women's World Cup: O'Reilly strike eases US into quarters
United states midfielder Heather O'Reilly scored arguably the goal of the tournament so far during her side's 3-0 win over Colombia on Saturday.
O'Reilly powered a 25-yard strike into the top corner in the 12th minute of the second group match before further goals from Megan Rapinoe and Carli Lloyd after the break completed a comfortable victory. The result confirmed the Americans their place in the quarter finals.
The US, who were one of the favourites ahead of the World Cup, have yet to concede a goal, and face Sweden in Wolfsburg on Wednesday in what is effectively a play-off for top spot in Group C.
