Gareth Southgate has called up Bournemouth's Callum Wilson for England's friendly against USA and the Nations League match against Croatia.

The uncapped Wilson has been in electric form for Eddie Howe's side so far this season, scoring six Premier League goals as the Cherries have surged up the table.

Now, with Southgate keen to test out new players in the Wayne Rooney Foundation International against the United States, he has been brought into the squad for the first time.

There are recalls for Fabian Delph and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who went to the World Cup in Russia but were not in the squad last time, and for Michael Keane, the Everton defender who has not played for England for more than a year but has rediscovered his form under Marco Silva this season.

Alex McCarthy, Luke Shaw and Danny Welbeck are also included, having been forced to withdraw from the previous squad due to minor injuries.

Southgate has found room for another uncapped player in Lewis Dunk, the Brighton and Hove Albion centre-back who was in the England squad for the October internationals but did not appear.

Jadon Sancho, who became the first player born since 2000 to play for England when he came off the bench against Croatia, is also among the squad having scored four goals in his last five games for Borussia Dortmund.

Rooney makes his return to the England squad, with the 33-year-old set to collect a 120th cap in the 15 November friendly against the US to honour his Three Lions career.

The former England captain has not played for his country for almost two years and it's understood he will make a late substitute appearance in the game.

He is not in contention for the Nations League clash with Croatia three days later.
