Scotland newcomer Jordan Rhodes insists his international allegiance is not an issue as he revels in his call-up from the Under-21s to Craig Levein's squad for Friday's friendly in Cyprus.
The English-born Huddersfield striker, whose father Andy kept goal for Dunfermline and Airdrie, qualifies for Scotland through the five-year schooling rule. But he said: "I have always felt Scottish. When the ruling wasn't around, two years ago, I was always searching the family tree trying to find a way to get in the Scotland team."
