Graham Westley, the Stevenage manager, is on the verge of taking over at Preston after agreeing terms at Deepdale. The two League One clubs are now in the process of sorting out compensation.

Westley, who has won back-to-back promotions in his second spell at the club, will take over from Phil Brown after the former Hull manager was sacked in November following a goalless draw with Stevenage.
