Oldham part company with manager Penney

Pa

Oldham have parted company with manager Dave Penney following the club's dismal League One campaign.

The Latics looked a decent bet for a play-off spot at the start of the season, but they lie just four points above the League One relegation zone.

Injuries bit deep into Penney's squad throughout the campaign and prevented the former Doncaster and Darlington boss building any kind of momentum.

Although Oldham are safe from the drop, Penney's departure from Boundary Park comes with one game of the season still remaining.
