Jailed Evans let go by Blades

Ched Evans is among 11 players to be released by Sheffield United.

Evans, who was out of contract, scored 35 goals for the League One side this season but was found guilty of rape and sentenced to five years in prison last month. Goalkeeper Steve Simonsen, who missed the decisive penalty in United's play-off final defeat to Huddersfield, has also been released.
