Sergio Aguero is a surprise pick on the Manchester City substitutes bench for tonight's Champions League match against Juventus.

Manuel Pellegrini had ruled out the striker after he picked up a knee injury against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

But Aguero has been named among the substitutes, along with new signings Kevin De Bruyne and Nicolas Otamendi; Saturday's hero Kelechi Iheanacho is not among the substitutes.

Tonight will also see the return of attacking pair Raheem Sterling and David Silva, who missed the win at Selhurst Park to ensue they were fit to face last season's beaten finalists.

Wilfried Bony starts up front, but the rest of the team is unchanged.

For Juventus, former Chelsea loanee Juan Cuadrado and former Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra are both starting.
