Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has stuck with the same XI that beat neighbours Manchester United at the Etihad on Sunday.

The only change in the 18-man squad sees centre-back Eliaquim Mangala replace Scott Sinclair among the substitutes.

That means that Frank Lampard, who was said to have a chance to return to action, has not been deemed fit enough just yet.

Pellegrini will likely playu a 4-4-2/4-2-3-1 hybrid with Fernando as the holding midfielder, Yaya Toure in a more box-to-box role and Stevan Jovetic providing the link-up with Sergio Aguero.

James Milner will start on the left and Jesus Navas on the right.

LINE-UPS:

Manchester City: Hart, Zabaleta, Clichy, Demichelis, Kompany, Fernando, Yaya Toure, Navas, Milner, Jovetic, Aguero.

Subs: Caballero, Sagna, Boyata, Mangala, Nasri, Dzeko, Fernandinho.

CSKA Moscow: Akinfeev, Mario Fernandes, Ignashevich, V. Berezutski, Schennikov, Wernbloom, Dzagoev, R. Eremenko, Natcho, Musa, Doumbia.

Subs: Chepchugov, A. Berezutski, Nababkin, Efremov, Cauņa, G. Milanov, Bazelyuk.
