WENDY TOMMS will add a new chapter to the Football League's 106-year history next season when she becomes the first woman to feature on the linesmen's list.
Tomms, 30, normally referees in the Great Mills Western League. League officials, meanwhile, point out that she could progress to the referees' list.
Tomms, who has been refereeing for eight years, said: 'Breaking through this barrier has been the greatest achievement of my life.'
